by entering up to our departure in Xinjiang, we experienced a China dominated by the state of emergency war. Eine der Folgen war kein Internetzugang, keine Auslandtelefonate und eingeschränkte SMS Verbindungen. Zudem wurden wir etwa 50 mal polizeilich kontrolliert. In der Regel geschah das sehr bestimmt aber anständig. Leider gab es auch unsinnige Schikanen, wie das Überkleben unserer Schweizer Nummernschildern mit Klebband, weil ein übereifriger Polistist mühe hatte die beiden Schilder zu unterscheiden. Von den Unruhen in Urumqi bekamen wir gar nichts mit. Wir fühlten uns immer sicher. Aber die massive Militärpresents war für uns schon ziemlich ungewöhnlich und übertrieben. Leider entstanden auch in unserem Reiseplan starke Abweichungen. So konnten wir nicht auf den Kunjerabpass an die Grenze zu Pakistan fahren, und auch das Tal durch were allowed to travel to the mountains we do not. Finally, there was once more bureaucracy at its best. Hours of waiting at customs due to any missing documents, the alleged absurd. Our guide Julia was not allowed into the departure hall and we were like the ass on the mountain, bis sie dann doch noch hineingelassen wurde. Als sie dann alle Papiere brachte war es halb 12, Zeit für die Mittagspause. Anstatt mich zu ärgern schreibe ich gerade jetzt diesen Bericht.

Sorry unterdessen sind nochmals 3 Stunden unsinniges Warten vergangen, und ich habe mich nun doch geaergert. Und zwar so stark, dass ich mehrere chinesiche Beamte auf Schweizerdeutsch lauthals angeschrien habe und demonstrativ mein Motorrad in eine verboten Zone Richtung Zollschranke gestellt habe. Wir waren so entschlossen China zu verlassen, dass wir ohne den abgestempelten Zettel einfach losgefahren sind. Unser Guide Julia hat wahrscheinlich vor Angst in die Hose gemacht, sicher aber laut geschrieen; bitte macht das nicht.
